Use the comparison to focus your attention. Then verify the originals, permissions, and context before choosing a next step. This guide supports your workflow; it is not legal advice.
Before you send a request
Identify the original work
Keep the original files, publication details, and source URLs. Identify the specific image, text, logo, packaging, or other content you are reviewing. A product that looks similar may need a different assessment from reused photography.
Confirm your authority
Confirm who owns the relevant rights and whether you are authorized to act for them. Check licenses, reseller arrangements, and any permission already granted before treating a match as unauthorized.
Inspect the context
Read the actual listing and inspect the full images. Shared generic wording, a similar product category, or a high comparison score does not establish infringement. Record facts that support the concern and facts that could explain the similarity.
Preserve the source record
Save exact listing URLs, seller details, and dated screenshots of what you observed. Keep original files separately. Takedown comparison exports contain supplied content and analysis; they are not independent page captures or proof of when a page was published.
Review the request
Replace every placeholder in a draft. Describe the specific content at issue and the rights you believe apply. Check the platform’s current form, declarations, and contact requirements. Ask a qualified adviser when the rights or circumstances are uncertain.
Submit and keep the receipt
An authorized person submits through the appropriate platform process. Save the submission, case number, and responses with your record. A draft download does not send a request, and submission does not guarantee removal.
